Five minutes.  Set a timer.  Write down anything that pops into your head for which you are truly thankful.  Ready?  Go!

I’m thankful for:

the lovely colors of fall trees

purring cats

delicious coffee flavored with Irish Creme

greek yogurt with granola

daffodils and other spring flowers

having my family all in one place, sleeping under one roof, eating together, watching a movie together

healthy children

home with heat, water, plumbing, beds, fridge (well you get the idea)

people who love me

blog world friends and readers

family near and far

community of faith:  people who pray and believe in prayer and GRACE

beauty in nature — EVERYWHERE

silk fabric 🙂

excellent schools

safety:  we don’t live in fear

Time is up!

Gratefulness is a mindset and it takes a little practice if you aren’t used to thinking that way.

I challenge you to give this a try.  I’d be interested to see YOUR five minutes thanks list.

Update:  One of my friends did the Five Minute Thanks on her blog—
